The Zandveld estate is situated in Nieuwegein, a young municipality formed in 1971 from the former villages of Jutphaas and Vreeswijk. Nieuwegein lies just south of Utrecht and, in 2024, has a population of approximately 65,974. The estate is situated in the Hoog Zandveld neighbourhood, a liveable area with a mix of family homes, quiet streets and plenty of green spaces.

The estate comprises forty-two detached houses, built in 1972, with an average living area of 121.6 m².

Central location with a full range of amenities

The Hoog Zandveld neighbourhood offers a wide range of amenities within walking distance. The Hoog Zandveld shopping centre, which includes a supermarket, a bakery, a chemist’s and various other shops, is less than a ten-minute walk away. Schools, sports clubs and restaurants are also located in the immediate vicinity. The large Cityplaza shopping centre, with over 150 shops, is just a ten-minute cycle ride away.

Nieuwegein is very easily accessible. The town is surrounded by three motorways: the A2, the A12 and the A27, making Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague and Almere easily accessible. There is also an express tram service to Utrecht and IJsselstein, and a foot ferry across the River Lek connecting Nieuwegein with Vianen.
